Monster Musume or rather Everyday Life with Monster Girls has recently announced season 2. Yes, that’s right! season 2 is confirmed however, we are still waiting for an official release date.
The English title of the show ‘Everyday Life with a Monster Girl’ is a more accurate premise. In our years of watching animes, we all have once been drawn to the fantasy of monster/animal girls. Be it catgirls, demon, elf, or even bunny girls. Monster Musume is an anime that will pull you toward a dream world filled with monster girls.
Monster Musume is a really popular fantasy anime series based on a manga written and illustrated by Takemaru Inui also known as Okayado. The first season of Monster Musume came out around 5 years ago from July 2015 to September 2015 and later received 2 OVAs in later 2015 and the midst of 2016 and licensed by Sentai Filmworks.
Monster Musume Season 2: Release Date
Even tho season 2 has been confirmed we still haven’t heard any announcement for an official release date. We can expect a trailer will be dropped soon. Due to the pandemic going we can expect a delay but it should come out in 2021
Latest announcement I’ve heard that Studio Lerche will be coming with a new season of Monster Musume somewhere around Fall 2021.
The fourteen volumes of the manga series are a collection of 62 chapters. The first installment of the anime series covered 1-16 and 18-25 chapters of the original manga. However, the OVAs tell the story of the missed characters 17 and 18 so there is a lot more content for a new season. And since we have received a new volume, Monster Musume has allot of story to tell.

Monster Musume Season 2 dubbed?
Monster Musume is licensed by Sentai Filmworks and since the first season was dubbed we can be sure season 2 will also receive a dub. However, Sentai studio is popular for releasing dubs really late from the initial anime release so we might have to wait around 8 months or more. I suggest watching it in the subbed version.
Monster Musume: Plot (Synopsis)
Kimihito Kurusu is a young college student and is a ‘volunteer’ for the Culture Exchange Between Species Program more like forced to be a part of the program after Kuroko Smith ( the program coordinator) mistakenly takes Miia to the Kurusu Household instead of the original destination.
Miia is a “Lamia” a snake species and the first girl to be a part of Kurusu household, Kimihito is very kind to her and puts a lot of effort into making sure she is happy and living comfortably which leads to remodeling the house for Miia to accommodate her large size.
She hopelessly falls in love with him due to his kindness and Kimihito somehow feels the same way. However, there is a law that prevents them from being intimate, and violating this law could result in getting arrested and Miia getting deported but this doesn’t stop Miia from making her sexual advances.
Later on his way to shopping, he encounters Harpy (a bird species) who is part of the Culture Exchange Between Species Program. She ran away from Kuroko Smith and kidnaps Kimihito flying him all over the town, she later falls in love with him. After that, he meets Centorea (a centaur species) and helps her catch a thief and protecting her when the situation gets serious. Centorea falls in love with him for his heroism.
Kimihito becomes a guinea pig for the first-ever interspecies marriage according to miss smith. Now all the monster girls are fighting over his love and who shall he make his bride. This is his life now.
Monster Musume: Art/Animation
The animation was beautiful, the scenery, the sunset, character designs everything was good looking and captivating and to my knowledge season, 2 will have the same animation style and artwork (for the most part). The art/style however I thought could be improved at some places it was quite noticeable how little effort the put in, but maybe that’s because they spent all the budget into character designs.
Let’s talk character designs, now I am a sucker for luscious anime personalities with glistening hairs and fair skin. The animation was flawless and every moment was so precise and well done, great job by the animators. Miia was by far the most perfect girl for me because of the proper waist and bust size wasn’t gigantic.
I would honestly give this a 10 because of the bouncy physics of those jiggling boobs, luscious bodies soaked in water. And I do appreciate all of it. I am of course a Man of Culture and I admire all the hard work that put into making this anime great and glorious.
Monster Musume: Sound/Voice Acting
Voice acting in the anime was incredibly amazing and quite sexy if you know what I mean. I certainly enjoyed it. I even checked the dubbed version so I could tell you guys how was it. And now believe me when I say that it was Phenomenal. All the voice actors did a great job subbed and dubbed.
So far all the anime opening was amazing as-well and quite addicting, I barely missed any, all of those are listed below.
Opening 1 is “Saikousoku Fall in Love (最高速 Fall in Love)” which was sung by all the voice actors from the anime which obviously makes it special.
Ending 1 was Hey! Smith!! (Hey! スミス!!) which was also sung by all the ladies from the anime.
Monster Musume: Characters
Miia
Miia is the first female lead to appear in the show and she is my favorite. she has a strong personality often fighting over who should Kimihito marries. She has a strong sex drive due to her species but often gets shy when Kimihito makes a move to behaves perverted around her. Miia had a great character development from the beginning of the show, how she understood the human ways, and overall character development.
Centorea
Centorea or as Kimihito refers to her ‘Sarea’ is a member of the Kurusu household and behaves very noble around everyone. she is always referring to herself as a knight. she has a shy personality and often gets flustered around Kimihito. Like every other monster girl in the Kurusu household, she is in love with Kimihito and is always trying to get his affection.
Harpy
Harpy is the childish one from the group and quite serious about Kimihito’s affection but often doesn’t care about it when she is busy having fun with her slime friend. She has a child-like behavior that loves to fly around and go outside and when she’s inside, she focuses on her console, playing games all day and just relaxing.
Enjoyment
This anime was of course very addicting and I only wish that there was more, I hope season 2 will arrive soon and we won’t have to wait until 2021. It was an amazing experience seeing so many monster girls in one show and I think it’s the only one right? you can tell me in the comments if there is another, cause I would love to see it.
I certainly enjoyed the Uncensored version because who wouldn’t? Characters designs were great, and the voice acting was really amusing in the dubbed version, I think the staff had quite fun recording it which was seen throughout the show 11/10 from me.
